THE DANSE MACABRE

On Saturday the 4th November there will be three amazing live bands delivering music directly to your bones. Throughout Asylum there will be performance artists inviting you to step into their dark worlds and visual artists sharing their ruminations on life, death, and those creeping spaces in between.

Dressing up for this cultural event is encouraged, helping us create a world of dark carnival and upended rules. We represent various strata of a society in hard and straightened times, but in celebrating the darkness together we can embrace fun and absurdity in its midst.

Our aim is to create something for the community to enjoy which is not fleeting or temporary. It is a celebration of the darkness that is deeply etched upon culture and humankind.
